The most common request we have for our Mercer, Monmouth, Burlington and Middlesex County NJ clients is wiring copper cabling for our clients. This is the cabling is most likely run to the computer in your office right now. When you look at your jack on the wall that you plug your computer into you won’t see much. Our technicians take the time to ensure that cable is properly terminated, supported, routed and connected back to your main IT room allowing you to quickly access the internet and all of your network resources.
What’s the difference anyway?
Get ready for lots of “tech talk” – but don’t worry we will explain these in person to you educating you on making the right decision for your office needs. Cat6 cables, also called Category 6 or Cat6 cables, provide less interference and is suitable for 10-Gigabit Ethernet, while Cat5e cables support only up to Gigabit Ethernet. As a means of future-proofing your network, Cat6 is possibly a better choice and in some cases can be wired for only a small amount more.
We work closely with your IT Department (if you have one) to ensure that all of your requirements are met.
